Social Security
isn't responsible for federal deficit - just the opposite. Until last
year it took in more than it paid out. It lent
the surpluses to the government
In the new radio ad, “Voices”,
middle-class Americans of all ages remind Congress that Social Security
did not cause the current economic meltdown and benefits should not be
cut in the guise of “fiscal responsibility”.
Social Security has been the
one secure income source for millions of retirees, the disabled and
their families during this economic crisis and it has not contributed
one penny to the deficit, according to NCPSSM.

NCPSSM adds in a news release,
“By engaging and informing America’s seniors through similar ad
