Philadelphia, PA, Nov. 17, 2003 - Ten Philadelphia women, 100 years old and older, were recently honored at the “Ten Centuries of Greatness” luncheon.  The “Ten Centuries of Greatness – A Celebration of Life” luncheon was sponsored by Geri-Perk, a West Philadelphia home healthcare company.  Governor Edward G. Rendell and Mayor John F. Street served as Honorary Chairpersons for the special event.  Each of the honorees, recognized for their accomplishments made to their families and communities during their 100-plus years, received numerous awards and accolades from political and professional dignitaries.  Serving as hosts for the afternoon were Gary Cobb of KYW-TV and Ralph Archbold, Philadelphia’s own “Ben Franklin.”
