De Niro at 61 Voted Best Living Senior Actor, Best One Liner
Nov. 1, 2004 Robert De Niro is on a roll. At 61
years young he was just voted the worlds greatest living movie star
over 50, and his line in Taxi Driver You talking me has been
selected as the best one-liner in movie history.
The Oscar-winning actor beat his 'Godfather'
co-star Al Pacino (second) and Jack Nicholson (third) in the best actor
poll by British movie magazine Empire.
'Butch Cassidy' star Paul Newman was ranked fourth
in the poll of around 10,000 readers, while the late Marlon Brando, who
was still alive when voting began, was fifth.
Sigourney Weaver came in tenth and received the
most votes of any actress.
One surprise, Michael Caine did not place.

Martin Scorsese's 1976 classic 'Taxi Driver' was voted the best one
liner of all time, beating Scottish actor Sean Connery whose line "Bond,
James Bond," was voted the second best in a poll conducted by Odeon
Cinema.
