August 2000 -- Few events are more intense on an athlete's muscles than the Olympic Games. For that reason, New Jersey based PacificHealth Laboratories, Inc. (Nasdaq: PHLI) is making a public offer to every United States athlete who will compete in the upcoming Olympic Games. PHLI is purchasing a full-page advertisement in the August 3 edition of USA Today offering a free supply of the company's breakthrough sports drink, Endurox R4, to all U.S. Olympians.

Endurox R4 was developed by six of the country's top exercise physiologists. In studies versus the leading selling sports drink, Endurox R4 was proven to increase performance by 55%, decrease muscle damage by 36%, and dramatically enhance muscle recovery, according to the manufacturer. The product is so unique it is patented (US Patent 6,051,236).

U.S. Athletes Say Endurox R4 Boosts Endurance

A number of U.S. Olympians including Jennifer Gutierrez, who will be competing in the triathlon, have already had success using the product in training and competition which gave PHLI the idea to offer it to the entire U.S. Olympic Team. "Recovery, especially from tough, demanding workouts is essential for improvement at any level of any sport," said Gutierrez. "Endurox R4 has allowed me to train 25 to 30 hours per week instead of 15 to 20 like in years past and that has provided me an incredible edge when it comes to race day."

Former U.S. Olympic Cycling Coach Chris Carmichael added, "I am not exaggerating when I say Endurox R4 can bring an athlete's performance to the next level."

"Instead of just cheering on our athletes in Sydney, we want to give them the edge they need to achieve their personal best," said Dr. Robert Portman, President of PHLI. "Once we saw the improvements in endurance and performance by athletes like Jennifer and others, we knew we had a sports drink that could benefit all of our Olympians."

Endurox R4 Isn't Just for Olympians

The ad also offers the 85 million recreational sports athletes across the United States a $2 manufacturer's rebate when they purchase any size or flavor of Endurox R4.

Endurox R4 Performance/Recovery Drink comes in a ready-to-mix powder (Tangy Orange and Fruit Flavor) in two size canisters (14 uses and 28 uses) and is available at GNC, Performance Bike, Road Runner Sports, BikeNashbar, The Vitamin Shoppe, Vitamin World, Colorado Cyclist, leading health food stores, bicycle retailers, Netrition.com and selected athletic retailers.
