Melanoma web sites give incomplete or wrong information, study finds

Dec. 27, 2001 - Popular Internet sites devoted to melanoma may seem trustworthy, but the information they provide is often only skin-deep, a new University of Michigan study finds. In fact, the majority of sites studied had incomplete facts about the increasingly common and potentially deadly form of skin cancer, and about one in eight had an inaccuracy. Click 12/27/1*


New Research Finding Ways Elderly Can Stay at Home and Cope With Daily Life Easier

New research, primarily in universities, is aimed at discovering technology that can help forgetful or frail elderly people better handle household chores and life inside their home. Out-of-Pocket Costs Keeping Americans From Taking Their Prescription Drugs

Americans cannot afford the required co-payment for drugs, so they are not taking their medicine, according to a survey by Harris Interactive released Nov. 21. Senior Women Take It Off to Help S.C. Older Citizens

These "calendar girls" are all over 60 years young but they have taken off their clothes for charity. More than two dozen women are pictured in this 18-month calendar they call the "Still Magnolia Calendar."
